Overview
The Motorola DTR700 is a license-free digital radio for retail stores, restaurants, schools, hotels and warehouses. It runs in the 900 MHz band, so there is no FCC license to apply for and no frequency fees. Digital frequency-hopping keeps conversations clear and private all the way to the edge of coverage, up to 350,000 square feet or 30 floors indoors. A bright color display, 50 channels and private one-to-one calling make it easy to reach exactly the right person.

Good to know
Do I really not need a license?
Right. The DTR700 operates in the license-free 900 MHz ISM band, so there are no FCC applications and no license or frequency fees.
Will it talk to my VHF or UHF business radios?
No. The DTR700 uses 900 MHz digital, so it only talks to other compatible Motorola 900 MHz radios such as the DTR series. If you need to talk with existing VHF or UHF radios, ask us about the MOTOTRBO models.
How far will it reach?
Inside a building, up to about 350,000 square feet or 30 floors. Actual range depends on construction and layout, and these radios are designed for on-site use rather than long distances across town.
Can my staff talk privately?
Yes. Any user can make a private one-to-one call, and the other radio shows the caller ID. After a group call, Private Reply lets you answer just the person who spoke.
Can the business next door hear us?
Frequency hopping plus your own privacy code (one of 10,000) keeps your conversations separate from other DTR users nearby.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 16.5 hours, enough for a long shift.
