Good to know
Which version do I need?
Non-display is simplest: great for front desk, housekeeping, wait staff, valet and cart attendants. The limited keypad model adds a display and 160 channels for supervisors, managers and anyone who switches channels often. The full keypad model is for maintenance, grounds and security teams who need to enter codes or control equipment. Many customers mix models on the same system.
Will it work with my analog radios?
Yes. The CP100d runs analog and digital, so it talks with the analog radios you already have while you move to digital at your own pace.
Can I buy analog now and go digital later?
Yes. An analog-only version is available and can be upgraded to digital with a software license when you are ready.
Do I need a repeater to get two channels?
Not for radio-to-radio use. Dual Capacity Direct Mode lets two separate conversations share one licensed frequency without a repeater. With a repeater, digital mode also gives you two talk paths on one frequency.
Can the radio open gates or start irrigation?
The full keypad model can send DTMF codes, which many gate, door and irrigation controllers accept. Tell us what equipment you have and we will confirm it will work.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 14.4 hours in digital with the standard battery, and up to 20 hours with the high-capacity battery.
Do I need a license?
Business radios like the CP100d use FCC-licensed frequencies. We can program the radios for the license you already have, or talk you through getting one.
